Crofton Hall – Structure Refurbishment & Waterproofing

This project consisted of the refurbishment and a brand-new extension to this beautiful building that overlooks Dun Laoghaire Port and the coastline of Dublin City.

Although the fabric of this beautiful old building was excellent, a considerable amount of remedial works was undertaken in order to bring the Crofton Hall up to the modern-day standards required for comfortable living and to ensure the building itself would enjoy the next 100 years.

Existing Structure Works

Installation of a chemical DPC into the walls to prevent rising damp using the most rigorously tested chemical DPC in the world - Dryzone Rising Damp Injection Cream.

Tanking of the walls using Maxseal Flex.

Waterproofing and protection of the new reinforced concrete floors using DualProof T Membrane and Quellmax Plus Waterbar.

New Extension Works

Waterproofing and protection of the reinforced concrete base slab and the reinforced concrete retaining walls using DualProof T Membrane.

Detailing of the construction joints using CEMflex VB Plate Waterbar.

All works were expertly and professionally completed by the well-known construction company Bourke Builders Limited under the direction of SURFASOLOGY.
